On Canada Day, Indonesian participants joyfully celebrated the occasion, highlighting 60 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Canada. The event featured a parade involving approximately 200 Indonesian individuals, including 177 students aged 14 to 17 from institutions such as International Islamic Education Council Jakarta, Universitas Advent Indonesia Bandung, and International Islamic High School1. Rizki Ilham, the head of Permai (Persatuan Masyarakat Indonesia), expressed his delight at the event, noting Permai's active participation in the large parade, which received media coverage from both Canadian and Indonesian outlets. Organisers extended gratitude to all Indonesian participants, including students, members of the Indonesian community in Vancouver, ITPC Vancouver, KJRI Vancouver, and Dharma Wanita Persatuan Vancouver. The hope was that this participation would enhance Indonesia's recognition in Canada, particularly in Western Canada, fostering stronger social and community ties between the two nations in the future.
